As we approach the end of the year, our goal remains clear: to make this our best year yet. While success is always a team effort, I believe the key to our growth has been having the right people in the right seats. Our strong sales and design teams, many of whom have been with us for years, have been instrumental in capitalizing on both new and repeat business opportunities.
We’ve made a concerted effort to partner with companies in the A&D community, which has paid off significantly. Our business development team has been working tirelessly to increase our name recognition and showcase how we can help potential clients.
The shift back to office work has been a major driver of our success. Many companies are refreshing their spaces, even if they’re not relocating. They’re redesigning to better reflect their culture and attract employees back to the office. We’ve seen everything from complete overhauls to simple updates like new carpet and paint – all aimed at creating a fresh, inviting environment for returning workers.
Recent studies have shown that the initial claims of maintained productivity during work-from-home periods may not hold true in the long run. As a result, more companies are implementing hybrid models, typically requiring employees to be in the office at least three days a week. This shift makes sense to me – after all, how can you maintain or build a company culture without in-person interaction?
As humans, we crave connection and learn best from those around us. Chance encounters and impromptu meetings in the office can lead to valuable collaborations and learning opportunities that just aren’t possible when working remotely.
This return to the office has led to more flexible workspace designs. Companies want areas that can adapt to varying numbers of in-office staff from day to day. One major pain point we’ve been addressing is acoustics. With the move away from cubicles and towards open spaces, managing noise levels has become crucial. We’ve seen increased interest in solutions like privacy pods – quiet, secure spaces for meetings or focused work.
Many of our clients are also incorporating areas for relaxation and stress relief, recognizing the importance of employee well-being in the workplace.
Despite economic uncertainties, we’re seeing continued growth in Indianapolis and surrounding communities. Our focus remains on showcasing our capabilities and seizing new opportunities.
As a leader, I strive to support my team by providing resources, making connections, and keeping everyone focused on their markets and contacts. I also emphasize the importance of work-life balance. Taking time off to recharge is crucial – I’ve found that my own vacations this year have left me energized and better equipped to lead our team towards our goals.
As we continue to navigate the changing landscape of work, I’m excited about the opportunities ahead and confident in our team’s ability to make this our best year yet.
